Will my Mac work?
Type the model number printed in small letters on the bottom case of your Mac (it looks like “Model A1466”). Then pick its year: you'll find it in Apple menu › About This Mac.
Why the year? The same model number is reused for years. A1466, for example, is every 13-inch MacBook Air from 2012 to 2017, and they don't all have the same WiFi.
